Due to the collapse of the Church roof we now meet for worship in the church hall on Sunday mornings at 10am. We are an informal group and all are welcome. Communion is generally help on the first Sunday of the month. Children's Activities run alongside worship - mostly for the under 5yrs.
Our lovely church was condemned in December 2018. Since the pandemic and building difficulties post Brexit the build cost of our project has soared astronomically. Community funding is also at an all time low, so to say this past couple of years have been a struggle is to underestimate the battle.
The City Council along with Peabody are about to start redeveloping around us and as yet we are not in a position to take the project forwards. However, there is hope. We continue to pray and to work closely with others to find ways in which this project to build a new church and community cafe, hall, and incubator spaces along with 20 flats as affordable housing.
The community will be well served going forwards with a fit-for-purpose, environmentally and user-friendly building, taking us forward into the next decades.
